Anything else is fine though, once I spent the whole lecture knitting.Īlso also, if you need any of the books or help during the semester feel free to message me! _^ The slides aren't terribly useful, take notes on the basic topics, Wikipedia (and other classmates) are your best resources.Īlso, if you don't have a laptop in lecture, you can spend the time counting how often he says "UMMM." I think the high score was in the 150 range xD And don't try to text in class!! He will see it and he will call you out in front of everyone, very awkwardly. He's a great guy and knows a lot about the subject, but that's just it, he sometimes forgets it's a 100 level class and goes off into tangents about things you don't really need to know. I had Toby for EALC 120 last year, and while I wouldn't say it was "1.7" bad, it wasn't great. The one positive note is that my Physics professor for PHYS 213/214 has a rating of 4.6 (Makins), which makes sense to me since she seemed really awesome when I met her. Now I'm kinda freaking out, because I don't want to be someone that bombs their first semester and has to spend the next seven or even nine semester trying to salvage their GPA. My one gen ed professor for EALC 120 (Toby) has a dismal score of 1.7.Īre these ratings really bad? Am I pretty screwed in these two classes or do people exaggerate on rate my professors? I'm taking a total of 16 credit hours and I was already worried about my course load before I found out that my professors are rated so poorly. My math 241 professor (Tumanov) is rated at a overall quality of 2.2 with a plethora of varying complaints, none of which seem particularly good. I registered for courses this last week, and once I got home I was able to look up my professors on, and frankly, I'm rather frightened now.
